Who We Are
HAND (Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding housing options in the northern suburbs of Indianapolis. Since 2003, we’ve been working to ensure that residents, particularly low- to moderate-income individuals and families, have access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. We own and manage income-restricted rental properties in Hamilton, Boone, and Tipton counties, providing high-quality homes for those who may otherwise struggle to find housing they can afford.
What We Do
HAND builds, preserves, and manages affordable housing communities while advocating for housing solutions that support thriving neighborhoods. With property management now in-house, we take an active role in maintaining our communities, ensuring they remain safe, welcoming, and well-kept for our residents. Volunteers play a critical role in this effort by helping with property clean-ups, landscaping, and minor maintenance projects. Whether you’re an individual looking to give back or a group seeking a service opportunity, your time and effort help us provide quality housing for those who need it most.
